Re: pumpkin - jack-o-lantern pictures

We used small kitchen knives for the large sections/big cuts and small craft-type knife for the detail and scraping away. The stencil was taped to the pumpkin, and I used a pin to '...

Re: BNP on Question Time

How far does one actually have to go back to find out if you are really 'British'?? A lady who I work with has managed to trace her ancestry all the way back to a Viking invasion, centuries ago - so, is she british then? My mum has traced our family back to France and Italy in the 17th Century, alth...

Re: Dog Biscuit Recipes Needed, Please

I've got a few recipes for treat-type biscuits.... will hunt them out tonight for you.... I keep the Boxers protein levels at 18%, but generally don't include their treats in that, as they are small compared to the rest of their food. Have you thought about feeding raw? You need the right mix of mus...

Re: Central heating - when do you turn it on?

We would normally only turn it on mid-October, and then for about 3 hours a day... However, despite my best efforts, I put it on for an hour last night, as even in 4 layers of clothes and a quilt, I was freezing and my lips and fingers were blue.... We have a modern-ish house, but it's only single-g...

Please can I come and live at your house?? :sunny: Your kids are only babies still, and are obviously having a whale of a time! You say they are polite and articulate, and can read and write - let's face it, half the kids in the UK are none of those things! Children don't NEED plastic americanised t...

Re: Abbey are complete &*$!!

Never put all your eggs in one basket! We have accounts in different banks in several different countries and if one lot got closed for some reason, we could use another. I don't understand quite how Stonehead can't access money from another bank because he uses internet banking  , we have...

Re: Am I mad?

Thanks everyone! Nice to know I'm not ready for my padded cell yet!! The business is being sold due to a combination of ill health and retirement... the deli is only a mile away from our house (walk along the beach path) and we have been shopping there every week for 3 years :) We're on the Lancs co...
