Also it can depend on the breed. The hybrids will often lay earlier that some of the pure or rarer breeds. I would give it a ...

I could never understand for the 3 years why my bottles all exploded whever I put them. Now my husband has banned me from making more!!! However I have now ...

Re: Feathered Fiends

I also have noticed more birds around here in Dorset especially pidgeons. To such an extent that I now have to cover everything when small with netting until it has grown enoughand got bigger. They also seem bolder than they have before. Not just birds either but this year I have seen far more foxes...

Re: Catch crayfish

Here in Dorset I was told by the powers that be that I would have to have he permission of the landowner and that once I had that and the EA had checked it out I could then apply for a licence.Needless to say I didnt bother!! It seems...

Re: Whether to keep Quails

Re: Whether to keep Quails

I have kept quail for a number of years. Agree that males can be aggressive so now I only keep females for their eggs mainly and because I like them as a breed! I keep Japanese quail. I have always kept them in a rabbit hutch with a run attached or something similar all year round with no ill effect...

The closest I have got to in appearance is the brown trout but with white spots!! The two have been in the pond for a few years. At th...
