Re: Passivhaus + triple glazing

Passivhaus is a German building system that involves much more than 3G windows. A DG firm won't necessarily know about whole house systems such as PH. For 3G windows try Russell Timbertech - no connection.

Re: Whats age got to do with it???

I think I shall have to leave this forum. it's full of old people.     Honestly, it's all complete nonsense how old you are. I have never seen the point in celebrating birthdays at all. Why do we do it? I try to resist each year and end up getting hauled out for surprise b...

Re: set up a rainwater collection system off my shed roof?

You will need to put guttering on your shed to collect the rainwater and funnel it into the water tank, just like you would with a house. Very simple DIY job.

How about transferring to a job within the store? I'm sure that wouldn't be difficult for them to arrange.

Re: Experiences of planners in Sussex?

Having done a few rounds with the planners (not Sussex but it's the same everywhere), the only advice I can give you is: 1. Go through their pre-application process. It is normally free. 2. Read all their policies and make sure you highlight the relevant favourable points in your application. 3. Alt...

If you go for Big Al's green roof option you can use a good quality thick pond liner for your waterproof membrane.

Nail the head hit the on (arrange as you see fit) in my opinion, modern life is complex and stressful which leads to lots of forms of depression.

Make things more simple and depression would decrease I think.

Re: Over use of Anti depressants?

If people receiving Meds for depression stopped taking them what would happen? More suicides? Have just googled suicide trends and globally they have been rising for the last 100 years. And this is with an increase in medication during this period  Shouldn't the trend be down the way? How m...

Re: Over use of Anti depressants?

Talking of Doctors dishing out Meds, I know a chap whose little boy is in my daughters class who has been signed off work for years with depression and is on benefits. After cheerily dropping his son off at school he goes fishing most days and then does the housework, shopping and cooks tea for when...
