Re: If you could...would you private jet everywhere?

We are guilty of travelling by flights fairly often (2-3 times per year).I'm not british, and the only way I can get back home,is by taking a flight.I could take a ship, but annual leave does'nt allow that long.We do the best we can,and as much as we can,but at the end of the day,I need to see my folk...

Re: How many hours a day does it take?

I have an allotment, which I use "No Dig"principles on.I work full time,so my plot has to be as easy maintenance as possible.I average spending 4 hrs per week working on it during the growing season (April-Sept),and thats basically just abit of light weeding, watering, planting and harvesting.

Hi Weedo,I grow alot of my own food.Sure its probably cheaper to just buy it from the supermarket, but I like to be as independant as possible, know whats gone into my food, and enjoy the process of growing it.Can you put a price on that?

Bamboo advice please!

I would like to buy some bamboo as a smallish feature in my garden.I know it can be invasive,so will buy a suitable container to grow it in.Would I need to keep potting it into different containers,so would it be happy just growing in the same one,for a few years?TIA
