Re: New to bee keeping- help please!! :)

Hi I know nothing of bee keeping, but I do know we have a couple of local "bee keeping"groups in our area.I don't know whether you have a group in your area but it might be worth investigating?I won't ever keep a bee hive,I do love honey, just not my forte, but I might pop along to the local group out ...

Re: ...Start an Honesty Stall?

Hi,it sounds like a great idea.We live rurally and even though I don't have a stall,I leave eggs out on the front porch and locals know to just leave the money next to them!So far so good! When I lived in Australia,I had loads of spare fruit and veg left over each year.I used to see mine to the local...

Noticed you're in Tassie,I'm from Adelaide! No I did'nt have a problem with snails where I lived (country)in SA,I guess it was too dry!The odd one we did get was soon eaten alive by my chooks!Gardening seemed so much easier in SA than here!No hardening off, greenhouse heaters, battling with sl...

Re: Help needed with snail and slug control please!

Ah we don't have hedghogs to worry about here- I wish we had more things that ate slugs and snails to worry about- maybe then I wouldn't have so many...I must go and collect a few snails and pop them in the deep freeze before I put pellets about as the director of my sons' creche has a blue tongue ...

Re: Bridlington shops bleach food to stop homeless foraging

I would of thought it was the food departments manager ordering too much food!!!!! Surely it makes more sense to possibly under order perishables, than to over order and waste money???? :banghead:
