Re: How do I get rid of a patch of bamboo?

...tricky.

A herbicide like Roundup can kill it,but my guess is that it would take a lot.
New young shoots should come up anytime now.
You can try it with copper screws and vinegar.
...I've killed plenty of unwanted stuff that way.
Takes time though.

Re: how to sow chives?

...really? I just love grilling a trout with lots of fresh herbs and a slice of lime. Not a fanatic angler though. I usually get odd looks in the park when I pack up and leave with just one pike. -''Hey,bored with us already?'' -''No guys, I'm done,I have a fish. But have fun annoying your food.'' :...

Re: goji berry, advice needed please

Thanks,I'll try to curb my ''Wannawannberrynow''-tantrum.
Besides,I've got two Pawpaws and a black mullberry to worry about since last week.

Mullberry seems to be in a hurry, the Pawpaws look like rejected Heron's nest material. :dontknow:

Re: goji berry, advice needed please

...About those Goji-plants. Are they a ''late'' type? Mine was planted a couple 'o weeks ago,and almost everything in my garden is budding like crazy due to the recent warm period. But not the Goji. I checked the bare stalks, they're still green and juicy under the bark. But no sign of leaves,nuffin'...

Re: Does anyone grow olives?

I have a modest 4- foot olive tree. I used to bring it in for the winter, but it inevitably lost all it's leaves within a month or two. A couple of years ago I planted it out, just to see what would happen. It still seems to die every winter, but it never failed to come back each spring. The last two y...
