Re: Nutritional yeast

Hi SE Nope it's not the same as regular yeast. It's an inactive yeast used as a nutritional supplement. It's packed full of vitamins (especially B vits) and minerals and it's a bit like Marmite in the respect that you either love it or hate it. Don't confuse it with Brewers Yeast either - they are n...

Re: Preserving Herbs

Just a bit of advice if you'll be freezing Basil - take the leaves off the stems and freeze them so as they're not touching another leaf (a big chopping board is good for this). When they're frozen then you can chuck 'em all in a bag/tub together.
NOT doing this will result in mushy horrible Basil.

Re: please list dairy free cheese alternatives!!!

Sheese do a really nice Smoked Cheddar and also the Blue Cheese style is nice on Toast or a Pizza. In fact all vegan hard cheese is pretty yuck on it's own but if melted or added to foods (Cheese Sauce, Taco's, Pizza, Pasta etc etc) they come into their own. For Cream Cheese; Tofutti is the far supe...

Re: going to seed too early?

I've just sown some more Seeds too. I'm gonna pick the leaves when they're younger this time as well and not wait for them to get bigger. They're tastier when younger anyway.

Re: Method Products

I bought the Grapefruit spray a while back and I LOVE it. It cleans well and smells lovely but I use it very sparingly as I can't get it out here. If I could I would buy it more often and in so doing, use it more often. But I'm lucky that my local Supermarket does there own line of eco cleaning prod...

I'm inclined to say a type of Datura as well but without seeing a flower it's hard to say for sure. It's beautiful whatever it is!
