i suppose it's so you are less likely to have an accident whilst working due to fatigue

If your employers are intransigent and know the regs you will probably have to kow tow unless you unionise and impose communal negotiation

I got a pole pruner from L a few years ago and it works pretty well

I have had to repair it a few times mind

Mine is a steel pole, but the one I saw in the shop yesterday is aluminum

They also do an electric pole saw from time to time
