Re: Elderberry Port Recipe & Pictures

Hi

I am new to wine making and would like to try elderberry wine later this year and love the photo guidelines for your recipe - however this recipe is for an elderberry port - how does this differ to elderberry wine?

Re: 4 Ingredient recipes

One of my all time favourites:

Bread
Marmite
Beans
Grated Cheese

Toast bread, spread marmite, top with hot beans and the grated cheese and watch as the cheese melts into the beans - heaven!

Random Lily

Hello 4 years ago i bought 3 lillies, one red, one orange and one yellow. On year two they flowered beautifully and then on year 3 (last year) they again flowered but i had a new colour, pink with yellow running down the centre of the petals and again this year the pink one has flowered again. Is it...

Re: What are you havesting

At least someone is enjoying this rather cold damp weather!!! I saw in a newspaper yesterday that we are likely to have similar weather for the next 3 months, may have to rethink my whole veg patch. I can just tell that all the seedlings both veg and flowers are crying out for some sunshine (includi...

Re: Elderflower wine disaster?

Hi After the success with the elderflower cordial i have decided to give the eldeflower wine another chance. Seems to be working good so far but as this is my first attempt at making wine i just wanted some clarification on the recipe process. I have steeped the elderflowers and then strained, added...

Re: Elderflower wine disaster?

I found some more elderflowers and decided to make the cordial after the wine disaster- used the same container and water supply and it has worked a treat - will stick to making cordial and add it to sparkling wine for an alcoholic treat!

Thanks

Re: Elderflower wine disaster?

Hi One thing i did notice was that there was lots of black fly mainly on the stems but there were some amongst the flowers. I did carefully pick the fly off but if some of the black fly got into the container would they give off a black dye when covered with boiling water? Should i have washed the f...
