Re: permanent home for chooks

They everyone for that.

I'll check with my neighbour to see if he knows what trees consist of the woodchip just to be on the safe side.

What do peeps use for a dust bath in an enclosed run? Would sawdust or sand be suitable?

thanks

I lost my toms last year and will be really really gutted if I lose this year's crop too. Thanks MEW http:/...

Garlic

Hi I planted some garlic back in October. The shoots are getting quite large (and thick) now. I thought Id have a sneaky peak just to see how the bulbs were getting along under the ground. The one I had a look at doesnt look likes its split. It looks like a large spring onion is perhaps the best des...

Thanks for all the advice MKG - Not an exciting reason in afraid. I really wanted some old fashioned names, originally was going to have my grandma's names Gladys and Philis but I just preferred Dot Mo and Flo as I thought they went together quite well, but MHO still getting on about bl*)dy Streetha...

Did a recky on the tinterweb and cheapest I found was from "The Gardeners Shop" - £9.99 to cover 40sq metres which should be enough for my needs as ive got 6 1/2 beds to cover. They are being sent out this Thursday, so slugs watch out (im hopeful they'll work on snails too as they're rife up the lo...
