Re: 101 uses for little bits of string

In the shop we use little bits of string like that for bundling up invoices etc, and also clothes hangers... (yes, it's that kind of shop where lots of miculs lie about - love that word, why have I never come across it before?) Lol - cos I made it up. I used it first on this forum a few years ago. ...

101 uses for little bits of string

I can't believe we haven't had this one... Each week I get a box of organic wonderfulness from Abel & Cole that is tied up with two short pieces of string (about 18 inches long). Of course being the horder that I am, I can't possibly throw them away so they get stored along with all the other miculs...

Re: Planning for being self sufficientish in 2015

I'm really excited, I'm buying an extra plot of land from next door. An allotment would have been a lot cheaper but there's more chance of my tending it if it's just outside the back door. I've also found someone nearby who helps out with the garden in exchange for a share of the produce :-) Looking...

Just clicked on Booze for Free and Grow Your Own Food Free. There's something familiar about them but I just can put my finger on it.

Hi - It's a form of controlled doodling. Much easier to illustrate than explain. There are loads of examples on google images or Pinterest.

Re: comfrey in ground or pot?

Not sure what type I have but it's under the buddlea so quite well shaded. I cut it right down to the ground before it flowers and, so ,far, it hasn't spread.

Not a game but I'm totally addicted to Zentangling. You do need a pen and something to draw on. I keep a little collection of old business cards with me and zentangle on the back when I need a quick pick me up.

Re: Bloody dock...

WOT ?? The best bit, and the skin on custard, and the skin on rice pudding, and the skin on milky bedtime drinks, and the skin on roast pork. What's that got to do with dock leaves though ? How could you do this to me? :( I'm just getting used to being dairy free and you remind me about the delight...

Re: Food allergies

Just an update. I've been keeping a food diary now and have proved that I'm seriously allergic to chocolate - I'm gutted :( I had another 'funny turn' after eating a dairy free chocolate dessert so there's no doubt now. I've been in touch with the Allergyuk forum and they've confirmed that the sympt...
