I scrounged some old floorboard offcuts from a house renovation, and pinned them down with U shaped loops from a car dog-guard

sunday morning early there was a Roe deer browsing on the railway embankment behind the house, I didn't dare move as I was just outside the back door and he was only about five yards from me :flower:

crochet slips are proper easy (for when you've done your crochet class) I just made one starting with a chain half the length of my foot and going round and round it (increasing at the end 'corners' and then decreasing the corners when the piece reached 'sole' size) but am rubbish at writing the ins...

intend doing more of these when the wild plums come in again, but a dehydrator would probably be useful. Last year they were just put in the top oven when the main oven was in use. I'd go for the mix with crab apples and plums, but avoid dogwood, it looks pretty but does smell like dog poo when you cut it.
