This is the conversation I have in my head on a regular basis. I thought it was just me!

Difficult to contemplate without a glass of home made wine, though, and since it is 8am, perhaps I had better come back tonight!

This happens to us every day, minus the camera crew though! (I am a childminder). I love HFW wherever he lives. Jamie has jumped on the bandwagon,...

If the bees die, we are all dooooomed!

Article from the Ecologist online: Scientists at Landau University in Germany have demonstrated that the electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobile phones and base stations can interfere with the bees' navigation systems, making them unable to find their way back to their hives. In an experiment co...

Are they too little to make their own as part of the activities? If you can get hold of some little brown paper bags with handles (like you get from the Chinese restaurant), they could decorate them? If they are toddlers they are probably too small. Good for slightly older kids though. Jane ps I got...

Lordy, you lot all lead very interesting lives. A bit too interesting in some cases. I hope those of you who had a rotten year last year get a good one in 2008.

DH is a teacher so his job is safe, I am a childminder, so my job is rather dependant on my clients staying employed. We bo...

For little ones, all the Charlie and Lola books are lovely (Lauren Child), plus the Shirley Hughes Alfie and Annie Rose books, and her series for toddlers - such fabulous, old fashioned illustrations! Also anything by Jill Murphy (she does the Large family, and for older readers the Worst Witch seri...
