Put on hot music and the seeds will come up rocking and keep themselves warm (yes, I've had a glass of wine).

Re: Gardening Indoors

Well spotted OS, it is a Valor heater, but it is for show only, the insides of it were rusted, a neighbour gave it to me years ago and we had it blasted and the Wizard has recently painted it for me, I stand plants on it. I may even go with a tomato plant, you never know, but there is not heating in...

Hopefully this will work out ok will post progress as it does...

Re: New potatoes for dinner

I must go and search for those potatoes I saw growing a few weeks ago, before a frost. I have also been growing flower sprouts as an alternative to sprouts and they are just like tiny little cabbages, my sprouts always seems to explode anyway so may as well cut out the middle man

Re: Spring?

In spite of the continuing wet weather and everyone pludging round in 10 feet of mud, my climbing rose bush is full of buds and they seem to be coming out over the last few days and the sweet peas intertwining the rose bush is starting to grow and make buds, just very odd a bit like last December wh...

I have never heard of that, but apple sauce with pork is well known, I guess if you have bacon and sausage, it is quite logical really

Re: Anyone growing Satsumas?

I wonder if you could use the satsuma trees from seed as a rootstock and graft other citrus onto it, you could look for scions from other people that way for thornless fruit maybe

Re: alcoholic fruit flies

Re: Peanuts

I grew a tiger nut by accident, it must have come out of the bird feeder and I told the Wizard not to mow near it, but he forgot and chopped its head off, maybe it will come back. I love tiger nuts
