Re: Facebook - to join or not to join
I love Facebook but am tight on security, if I don't know who you are, you ain't getting in (at least if you have friends in common I recognise that's fine) but what's with random people trying to add you who have absolutely NOTHING in common... ah well. I love it because I can keep in touch with my...

Re: Who taught you to cook?
My Nana taught me, she was always baking at the weekends when I stayed... I remember cooking Scrambled Eggs for my Granddad while standing on a stool because I couldn't see over the cooker :)

Re: How Do You Like Your Meat?
Having been a vegetarian for 16 years and then 'turned to the dark-side' I like my meat well cooked as well as the sight of blood makes me feel quite ill. Much as I like my TV chefs I like my meat cooked all the way through... it even turns my stomach when I see H-F-W et al eating stuff raw... I've ...

Re: yarn jargon interpreter required
There's also a chart at the bottom of the linked page which tells you how to use other thicknesses / guages / hooks for items by using a formula to get the right amount of stitches / right size. http://www.earthguild.com/products/knitcroc/marypat/gauge.htm It's a bit complicated but I worked it out ...

Re: you are kidding me
I suppose in all honesty it might actually be a good thing for people with little or no money to be able to buy things gradually over a few months though... that's the only up-side I can see and with money becoming even tighter lately it seems the Christmas stuff in the shops is becoming earlier... ...

I've already seen all kinds of Christmas stuff on sale here... puddings, mince pies etc... I was a tad shocked I can tell you! It's getting out of hand now I think!

I love pyrography, saw it in Cornwall years ago when on holiday and bought myself the kit soon after... can be done on leather too... great fun, might grab a photo of my OH's battle box for medieval re-enactment and post it later :)

Re: Video Tapes *potentially stupid question*
Please don't use them near skin (as jewellery, clothing etc) they have in some cases some very nasty, toxic chemicals on the actual tape and that's never good

Re: The spare parts, do you hoard them?
Oh blimey... do we ever!! When we were having a clear out before moving, my OH threw out so many PC parts that were out of the ark it was unbelievable... he also breaks everything apart to pick out bits for making robots with...
