SO I just received an email from my mum to lock up my chickens based on the article below. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-38231416 There are a lot of migratory bird around at the moment so it's not unreasonable guess. but, apart from locking them in the garage with no light and a concrete floor the best...

TBH we watch the same as you, and there's not much else worth watching. Not quite topical but good for a laugh and a bit of a mental workout is "8 out of 10 cats do countdown" . And not comedy but I am enjoying Brian Cox's "Wonders of the Universe" programmes on BBC1 at the momen...

I've twigged that if I keep the hens cooped up they will scratch and clear the ground where I want the veg beds to go... so waiting a year and clearing the ground organically sounds like a good plan too!
