Fibre pots

Yet again I've put seeds in fibre pots and before they've germinated, the pots have started to go mouldy. How can I stop it from happening?
I gave the windows a good clean and finished off with a bleach wipe before putting the pots on.

Washing powder (not necessarily eco-friendly ones)

Does anyone know if the same brands of washing powders we can buy here work better (i.e. may have a better "recipe") in other countries?

Witch hazel

Get it from Sainsbury's - a fair bit cheaper than Boots, as I discovered only a bit later that day.

Re: Pink and Blue

I don't recall now, but it seems that even "these days" there's still a trend for buying pink items, not necessarily just clothes, for girls and blue ones for boys. Although, in some countries, there isn't the feminity associated with pink and men can like it without it being questionable....

Re: 202 reasons for not shopping at a supermarket

P. S. This isn't a new dilemma. Saki wrote a short story entitled Quail Seed - I'm not familiar with this website, but I've found the story free to read on it - http://www.eastoftheweb.com/cgi-bin/version_printable.pl?story_id=QuaiSeed.shtml There's another shopping one called the Sex That Doesn't ...

Re: 101 uses for old and worn out clothes

Tights make good garden ties and they tend to blend in well and are soft against the stems. I know someone who has used them to strain bits of "skin" out of household paint. They might be a better option for the downpipe use that someone mentioned earlier.

Face cloth

Messrs Wait and Rose sell a face cloth that just like those microfibre cleaning cloths, only white. You wet it, wring it out and use it on the face and it exfoliates. Has any one use one for a length of time to be able to offer an opinion? Messrs Marks and Spencer sold an exfoliating cloth that was ...
