Hi
You could cook and can them - you can buy tinned small potatoes here in the UK. I imagine you would can them with salted water but have no experience. Then you just heat them through when you want to eat them or add to stews etc.

Re: Views on Fostering
Hi boboff This is my experience of fostering. Five years ago my husband received a phone call asking if we could look after a little girl, the daughter of a couple we both knew. We knew the couple had been having problems with addiction. That night I found myself collecting a 5 year who I didn't kno...

Re: Acne Management and Treatment?
Hi Wolfhazel
I cut out all added sugar - so no homemade cakes . I ate ryebread and oatcakes instead of bread and didn't use flour in cooking. Naturally occuring sugars seemed not no cause a problem.

Re: 3 R's Kids Clothes
Hi I have been lucky enough to have been given lots things for my littlest ones - quite a bit off freecycle including cot, cotbed, bedding, nappies. I freecycle or pass on what is usable when I have finished. Old stained clothes get used for cleaning cloths. Buttons are removed for my sewing box. I ...

Re: Acne Management and Treatment?
Hi Wolfhazel I developed acne as an adult after having a Mirena coil fitted, I also later found the minipill does the same for me as i am sensitive to artificial hormones. I was given long term antibiotic treatment by the doctor which was not ideal. Then I found the answer - for me at least. I stopp...

Re: Does anyone share my parenting philosophy?
I haven't read the William Sears book but am familiar with the ideas of attachment parenting and to me it seems like a natural thing to do. Co-sleeping - my daughter (13 months) happily sleeps in her cot mostly but if she is unhappy and needs cuddles I will bring her to bed. She slept on my chest fo...

Re: Having babies
Hi Pumpkin and Piglet My little children are the same age as your two and my big ones are 16 and 18. The big ones were 3 and 5 when I met my husband, I decided that I wouldn't have more children for many sensible practical reasons but my heart didn't agree with my head! Now I look at my little ones ...

Re: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need
3 weeks ago I decided to ditch the junk food I was eating. Cakes, pastry, puddings etc - I don't eat fast food as it makes me feel horrible. My diet wasn't particually bad, cakes and puddings where homemade, oven chips not fried, homemade pizza and veggie burgers sometimes. So far I have lost 10lbs ...

Mmmm yes they are nice. A lot of manufactured almondy products use them, battenberg cakes, macaroons etc. Cheaper but still good.

Brilliant - I am envious of your talent. I would like to make a pallet potting bench but have an enormous to do list.

They're looking good - ahead of mine which seemed to take forever to start growing. Next time I shall try using a propagator to help things along.
