Re: Don't buy anything new in 2009!

I might give this a go this year if I can get partner on board. I doubt I'd have time to be consistent in blogging about it though. Books could be our downfall though, especially for me because I do need two more books for my course.

Re: Another rant...sorry!

As a former single parent, (first husband knocked me around so much I'm now deaf in right ear), I often wish the people that condem should, as the Native Indians put it, "walk a mile in my shoes" before sounding off. Gladly, after you walk a mile in mine. I somehow have to find the money to pay my ...

Re: But WHY shouldn't I ...

Does any of it have anything to do with food getting freezer burnt? I've nerver really thought about it much to be honest. One thing I will say though, my grandfather died five weeks short of 100 and he made one big batch of chicken and vegetable curried stew a week, which sat in a giant pan on the ...

Re: Bumblebee Nests

I know a little smidgin about bees, I've worked on them before, they're my favourite little creatures. Some underground nesting species like to seek out rodent's nests. A little bit of soiled bedding from a mouse (ask the local pet shop maybe) might do the trick for attracting them in. There is anot...

Re: Civilization! - *Some Restrictions Apply

I watched this the other day and found it quite sad. I resent that this so called civilization is meant to be the only way to live. It's so restricting.

Re: my first forray into Burda

That's not a sewing pattern, they lie!!!! It's abstract art! I've been looking at free patterns on a website called burda style. They seem pretty easy to follow. I've been learning stuff from my mum so in the new year she'll be showing me how to use a sewing machine so I might try some of them...

Late-ish introduction

Hello everyone, I joined the site a while ago but never had much time on my hands to post an introduction. Plus I'm a bit shy, but you all seem like a friendly bunch. I'm hoping to have a bit of time over Christmas to spend more time here, maybe even make a (hopefully) useful contribution to some th...
