Re: Kill a rabbit

Agree totally with MIE. 1. Start with the 'Priest'. That should put the rabbit out cold - maybe even kill it. (It kills fish). 2. Then adopt the Islamic approach; ie. a single slit with a razor sharp knife across the jugular. Hold up over a bucket. Wear overalls or something your not too fussed over...

Last time I saw one of those boxes it had Oranges in it.

Do they do mail order delivery? If so. I'll have a half dozen!

WOW! Very impressed. Still got Toms in January?

They wont grow here even in July! :pale: (Not because we dont get lots of sun I hasten to add. But because by the time the evenings are mild enough it's too late to plant 'em and I dont have a glasshouse).

Re: Travelling Around Europe

Hello Derry, As you are based in Brum, I'm going to assume you are an EU citizen? In which case, you'll need nothing other than a valid passport to visit those countries. And to travel between most of them, not even a passport. (There are no passport checks between France and Germany, for example, b...

Re: Lack of allotments or a lack of use of existing plots?

It's been a long time since I had an allotment. (Back in the mid 1990's). But I recall the same thing being an issue then. I knew a chap who had taken on some - and didnt work them. He said that he had them because, otherwise, the council would say that no-one was interested and sell the plot for bu...

Re: Our "Leaders" fail to lead - so what next

Whatever the rights and wrongs, Blaise Pascal put it pretty well with his famous 'Wager'. And I cant see any reason to not apply that wager here:- 1. Assume that we all change our behaviour and consume less and pollute less. 2. If it then turns out that Global Warming IS caused by Human Activity - t...

Re: Anyone here hunt?

I fish for pleasure and food. Hunting with firearms is possible over here but it is pretty restricted. It has always seemed to me that if you are not a veggie, the only -Ish way to obtain meat is to 'grow' it or hunt it. Meat should have as free and natural life as possible before it ends up on a pl...

Re: Our "Leaders" fail to lead - so what next

I no longer believe in ' global warming' caused by humans ----------------------- No longer believe? It's not a question of belief or disbelief. It isn't a religion. 'Global Warming' is made up of very many individual human acts. It isn't one single item. But a large human cake baked of many ingredi...
