A friend of mine must take about 6 months off every year due to depression. He has a very understanding employer who send him off to various retreats for treatment. We had a similar problem with our solar power in November/december. So little sun that we had to ration the lights and used our old oil lamp and candles instead. And the DVD player was a no hoper. I felt quite old last night when I walked past a nightclub at about 7pm and it had a sign saying 'open from 11pm til 3am' I thought, 'what on a Sunday' then remembered that 20 years ago I would have probably arrived just after kicking out time from the pubs - about midnight.
