This is the recipe that I use for Elderflower Champagne: 8 pints of water 1.5lb sugar No added yeast required and can be very POTENT the longer you leave it. yes indeed - compare it to the alternatives "cradle-to-grave" .... I can't believe recycled bottle insulation is particularly good either !
But you also need to compare with the amount of energy you can save with it. All difficult questions to answer unambiguously.

I use a long-handled pan-scrubber to clean mine.... I got the tubers off ebay... left them too long before planting, but they still came up... 6 foot high, no flowers.
