Hi Lurchermam. I'm a newbie also. I would love to restore a barn! One way I've found of keeping the slugs off is crushed eggshells

Re: Elderflower/berry Cuttings

funny, but the plants I love are the ones you can't get rid of! I have mint, comfrey and fennel outshinning the rest of my garden. this is the year to undo most of my damage! I'm so glad that once i get it in there it will grow and grow.... Like I said, I'm obsessed with elder!

Admittedly, I do have the laptop- so we can look at stuff online when the mood takes us. My little boy is 5 next week, and is just fine without. I find he is so much more im...

Re: Bicarbonate of Soda

For toothpaste- use bicarb soda, water and a little coconut oil. Even a few drops of peppermint oil. or infuse some mint in the water beforehand. Teeth come out lovely! Also great for homemade cleaners, getting the smell out of your wet dog, shake n vac, a paste of it applied on bites and stings. I ...

We recently took a branch and used honey as rooting hormone but not much seems to be happening with it. Any ot...

Hello from Ireland.

So glad to have found this forum. Im 25 since february, but I've dreamed of owning and living off my own land since I was 19. The major nudge in this direction came with the birth of my son; growing my own, recycling and ridding my home of chemicals. Amazing the way children change your whole view o...
