Hi all,I'm not that new to veggie growing. We used to grow our veg in raised beds, and most of the time, did'nt have a problem with snails and slugs eating our seedlings. However we recently moved house and decided to just have ground level veggie beds.I've just planted out some french beans and within ...

Re: Bridlington shops bleach food to stop homeless foraging

I would of thought it was the food departments manager ordering too much food!!!!! Surely it makes more sense to possibly under order perishables, than to over order and waste money???? :banghead:

Re: SUMA Co-Op Members Wanted in the Wiltshire

Unless they've left the top soil(which they should of,it beongs to you afterall right?)then I would build up some raised beds.I used link a boards(can buy them from suttons)and I think two 1x1mt beds cost me around £60?Otherwise why not terrace that slope,if its facing the right driection, that could...

Re: Allotment Rent

We had a very large plot in a town before we moved, and we paid £20 per year for our allotment, which was extremely cheap. Now we have moved to a house with a much bigger garden, and it was a wrench to give up the allotment, but it would be going to someone who was desparate to start growing, and I know t...
