We have plenty of hawthorn in our hedge and I have often wondered why people bothered inventing barbed wire when there were thorns like that available... Only problem with hawthorn is that I swear that it jumps at me, I can be walking along, minding my own business and all of a sudden OUCH a hawthor...

funny, that article talks about using blueberries? Do they grow on bushes? Not stupid questions at all Pete, sorry you feel that way, we all start somewhere... i daren't think what I was asking when I started out.... You will get several answers about this and the chances are none of them will be wrong, but there are so many ways of doing things just go along with what fee...

Ebay tends to be reasonable for packaging if you are buying any quantity... some times you can find recycled...

If you can post a pic that would be ideal... sounds like scab??? (found in my veg expert book :wink: ) there are lots of different diseases and problems that can affect potatoes, but, in my experience, many of them are only skin deep and your crop may well be fine. If it is scab, they will be fine, ...
