my mum and dad are 'abuelita' and 'abuelito', respectively, to my little girl (as were my Latin grandparents). Thats Spanish. thanks for all your suggestions guys but i have to agree with brij, i'd muchr rather a book. saves me the bother of switching on the pc. and plus u can sort of cosy up with a book, not so much a screen!! i'm borrowing stitch n bitch off a friend now actually.

i use herbal remedies by andrew chevallier. again, nice and straightforward and not just full of fancy pictures! i've never seen or heard of the rose elliot one though, and i do love her recipes... must check it out!

i think you're right, i tend not to use it for hot items though, just mixing batters etc. looks like this! i think its ceramic anyway... i thought they all were! it would look nice with a plant in if all else fails, i'd hate to chuck it. and i got it in tk max for £3, bargain!
