ok i want a book reccomendation and advice on storing potatoes apples carrots onions etc you get the picture i have looked in book shops and on nett but there is hardly any thing on this subject anyother helpful books would be appreciated

i have noticed on me allotment people do things diffrent if onions are pulled up can you plat them and dry them on the onion tree ? its just sometimes onions seem to walk on our allotments but nothing else weird lol. any ideas to stop them getting nicked can you dry them inside any ideas please.and ...

what to paint on new wood for coldframe
help i have some wood i am using for a cold frame i want to paint it but WITH WHAT??.as i dont want it to effect the plants etc i have been told cresote is a no no any ideas from seasoned gardeners or timbermen/women

i am thinking covering my allotment with plastic once i got rid of the 5ft high weeds, what are the benfits and what are the bad side of this please and what is the best way of securing etc i had been told silage plastic is cheap alternative.
