Re: Housecleaning Habits

 Nice little essay. Sounds like she's got a good friend

There's a few of us Ishers who do Flylady too. It certainly does help, but when life weighs you down that much it's hard to see how. Best wishes to all x

Re: Gluts...

I'm headed for a glut of tomatoes this year. I'm loathe to get rid of any of the plants as everything else is being beaten by weather or slugs. It's not a huge problem though. Going to make a load of ketchup and sauces. Definitely a load of green tomato chutney as everyone I gifted jars to moaned ab...

Ugh! Well, fingers crossed they're wrong. I'm just concentrating on filling the greenhouse. It may just be a cheap thing that'll only last this season, but so glad I bought it. My veg patch is a complete disaster area.

How'd he die? Did he do an Amy Winehouse? ( R.I.P Amy :( )
They never found out. It's thought that he was given a bottle of poisoned whisky after he flirted with another man's wife. After that night, he got really ill and died 3 days later.

Red dots mean you have commented on that thread. If it's swirling it means it is a popular thread.

Pop his name on YouTube. He was a blues singer, absolutely amazing. Died at 27, legend said he sold his soul to the devil to become the greatest blues player ever. He had a HUGE impact on rock and roll.

No, we don't get any bird song here, unfortunately. Morning noises tend to be a neighbour arguing or the mosque during Ramadan.

 Probably. I also would like to add Peter has been a city lad far too long and is overly sensitive to anything like that. He was about ready to go out and strangle the guinea fowl when we were last on holiday.

Re: Chickens? Even though deeds to house say no poultry.

Noisy enough that the neighbours having some put my OH off and won't let me have any :( If the neighbours have decent double glazing, it shouldn't be a problem, but the neighbours' chucks woke Peter up a few times early morning, even without a cockerel. I'm not sure if some breeds might be quieter l...

Re: Argue with this.

Nope, you'd still need to do the 5 year course, at least. Although all doctors are let off around hospitals early on in their studies. The 'fast-track' medical qualification is still 4 years long but requires a good degree in human biology, psychology, pharmacology etc.

Re: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need

Aren't mushrooms quite high in MSG too? I read/watched something that said our bodies are programmed to eat more when we have sugar. When fruit is in season, it's time to eat extra so we have fat stores for the winter months, our bodies treat all carbohydrates like that. Might have been on Fat Head,...
