Re: Australian Floods

Bull sharks have been sighted swimming in the flooded streets. It seems that this means that the wildlife is still only averagely dangerous. Still safer than Glasgow then. We were in Brisbane and Toowoomba in 2004 and it is very sad to see the pictures now. This will take many years t...

Re: Have you ever seen a ghost?

We had many experiences in our last house - too many to mention. But we found it fun rather than scary as the house had a nice feeling about it.

Re: Not Quittin' Smoking

There's some sort of party going on in my mouth right now...difficult to describe but it's definitely the pipe thats causing it. That is the very fine hair that is in your mouth and throat that acts as a filter starting to die off. When you stop smoking this grows back and can give you a bit of a c...

Re: Psycho Killer .... Qu'est-ce que c'est ?.........

I think you need to get on Dragons Den OJ and make your millions. :thumbright: I stopped for a couple of university students a few years ago who were trying to hitch hike to the Highlands and back over a bank holiday weekend. I only took them about 5 miles and dropped them off south of Perth. Later ...

Re: Small village rumours

Maggie - I think you need to get out there onto the streets with big rainbow rasta hats and wigs and huge flairs and splifs to advertise you and your daughter's business. You will shock their small minds into laughter and they will buy from you ever more! Just lace their bread with a bit ganga and t...

Re: A Decent Annual Salary

Good post skiesabove. I think if you are determined enough and enjoying yourself whilst doing it then you can live on peanuts. I remember being 19 and stranded in Lyon, France with no money, no fuel in our van and only a packet of Smash  left to eat but we still managed to get home - long sto...
