Re: Telly radio

I switch it on and I switch it off - I haven't done anything else with it. I'll have a go at the re-tuning. Thanks.

Telly radio

I used to be able to hear the radio on the tv channels - now I can't - it says "no signal" with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle.
I can watch the telly. What went wrong and what can I do to get the radio stations back? It's a Sony Bravia.

Re: Employment contract

I thought I'd put what I've already told the manager about these problems in an email "in writing". If the new staff has worked in rubbish places that don't maintain standards and that has been her experience, I'm not sure I'd want to cause trouble for her, however, if still nothing is sor...

Re: Employment contract

In a nutshell, she doesn't follow kitchen hygiene rules fully, and she has poor working practice generally - a working system was in place but she decided to do her own thing causing lapses in ordering and other problems and any chances she makes are for her convenience alone without regard to anyth...

Re: Employment contract

Hello - another employment-related question, if I may. I've been pointing out deficiencies in a new employee to the manager, who doesn't appear to take them seriously enought to act decisively. This has created, in me, a huge amount of stress. It is clearly pointless talking to this woman and if I h...

Help finding news links

Hello - I've been trying, unsucessfully except in one, to find news articles relating to incidences of people consuming non-food substances as a result of carelessness on the part of employees, for example, the one when a patient was so thirsty they grabbed the container of water (cleaning solution)...

Door shed roof

I'm thinking of making a tool shed out of four doors. What would you suggest as a roof?

Online pet meds

How can you tell if an online supplier of veterinary (prescription only) medicines is sellling the genuine stuff - is there an organisation they should be registered with?

Re: Don't waste heads and feet!

Once they are pureed/liquidised I don't think that matters. Can any normally cooked bones from other animals be given to cats and dogs or is it just chicken bones?

Re: Don't waste heads and feet!

I did this recently - pressure-cooked the carcass of the roast chicken, made soup for me and put the skin and thinner, smaller thinner bones (wasn't sure of the blades) in the blender with some of the stock and made a sort of slurry. The dog enjoyed it, the cats didn't.

Re: BBC...

It is possible, these days, I think that was clear enough from the question. The rule of thumb is, if you don't know what you're talking about, don't try and talk, or offer a reply/advice about it. lol.

I've tried a few times to watch on the BBC iPlayer, at the same time they were airing on telly, films, only to have the message come up that you can't watch it. I don't recall what it said exactly, but, they do expect you to pay the licence in order to view online (not catch up). Bearing this in min...

Die hard selfsufficienters making their own clothes can use it as a lining for when they're down at the allotment.

Re: Don't waste heads and feet!

If you get a big enough fish, you'll find (I only do it when I've cooked one whole in the oven) that they have two very nice "strips" of meat along the top of the head and two roundish bits where you can imagine they'd have cheeks. Many years ago I was watching a Programme for School and C...
