Re: How do I loose my beer belly
wow thats fab going! OK, so if I'd have known you had a cake a day habit, I perhaps wouldn't have suggested you made 'little' changes, I think cutting that out would probably do the trick! well done though, it's great when you see your efforts being rewarded. Do you feel better for it?

Re: First ripe tomato!!
yes, I had a cucumber last week, it was one to be proud of! Must make a note of the variety as it's much nice than the ones I grew last year I allowed hubby to have ripe tomato number 2 yesterday, he also commented on how sweet it was, I must try & find out if they're the gardeners delight or th...

Re: How do I loose my beer belly
everything in moderation If you cut anything out of your diet that you love, you will loose interest in the diet within a couple of weeks & when you return to eating the 'culprit' you will put on more weight than you lost to begin with. Obviously the aim is to use more calories per day than you ...

Re: First ripe tomato!!
ah glad it's not just me, i thought I'd done something 'wrong' perhaps under-watering.
Anyone else out there managed to grow larger tomatoes that are juicy instead of dry, got any tips?

Re: what do the parents of larger families drive?
my current car doesn't have 3 proper seat belts so it will defiantly have to go. The 3 year old (who will be a couple of months short of being 4 when the baby arrives) is very small for his age (just gone into age 2 - 3 clothes) so I'm not sure about a booster seat for him just yet. The seats with a...

First ripe tomato!!
And I've just eaten it. I think it was a gardeners delight, although it could have been a red cherry as I didn't label them properly. But it was lovely! I don't even eat tomato, unless it's in a sauce or chopped finely in a salad, but I couldn't resist. I was amazed at how sweet & juicy it was i...

what do the parents of larger families drive?
OK, so not really a question about 'alternative' transport, but with the arrival of a 3rd child we're going to have to get a bigger car. I currently drive a little 1.1 Peugeot 206 and am not relishing having to drive around in a gas guzzeling people carrier or 4X$. I'd love to know if anyone has man...

Re: uh oh what's going to happen to my pizza dough?
yup, it was all OK, wouldn't have known the difference. Dough was a bit stretchier & harder to handle but was OK once I'd got the air out of it & got plenty of flour on the board. It was about a 50/50 mix of bread & SF flour

Re: So how many little ishers are on the way at the mo?
to be honest I'm feeling hideous, which has come as a complete shock as I have 2 boys & didn't get any pregnancy symptoms with either of them, so i've convinced myself this one must be a girl!

Re: uh oh what's going to happen to my pizza dough?
I have used a mix of plain & bread four before & have even used a mix when I'm doing bread, but I've never used SR flour before

uh oh what's going to happen to my pizza dough?
Just got everything out to make some pizza dough, only to discover I've not got enough bread flour & so I've had to use 250g of bread flour & 250g of self raising!!!! I've set it going in the machine, but what's the dough going to turn out like? should I chuck it now & prepare so...

Re: cider
oooh, thanks this is REALLY helpful I've learnt more in the last couple of days than I did spending hours googling for cider information over the last year! :thumbright: So, if I add sugar to the bottle & it tastes better, can I leave it in the bottle for a few more weeks or does it need drinkin...
