Talking with my partner today about how I want to homeschool my (currently 2y/o) daughter (when she is older of course) and  he is the first r/l person to support me on this. He has a "learning difficulty" which made his school years a living hell and he was made to feel like he was...

The friends with the immaculate house came to visit a few weeks ago and the wife made a few comments along the lines of 'wow you can see the bench and the floors.' My come back was along the lines of 'well now that I'm not studying full time, not walking backwards and forwards across town X amount o...

At the moment the area where I live doesn't have water bills but it's coming soon because of the dairy farms polluting the water with nitrogen run off from their fertilisers.

Well done to the kids with the good vocabs. My just turned two year old has a wide vocab and uses sentences up to 5-6 words long but usually 3 words long, yet the middle of last year there were concerns that her speech was quite 'delayed'. I was told back then that children tend to develop one area ...

I wish my ex flatmate had been more into conserving water. She would shower 3-5 times a day for about 10 minutes each time (and letting it run for about 10 minutes before getting in). Sometime if she felt especially dirty she would shower then soak in a deep bath then shower again. My power bill was...

Kiwifruit Black licorice Apples (the skin is the important part) Whole grains (loads of kids cereals are yummy and packed with fibre and whole grains. Some white breads are fibre enriched for those who don't like brown bread. Metamucil/fibers...

Thanks heaps everyone

I'm not going vegan or even totally vegetarian, just needed some recipe ideas to try as most of mine are pretty basic. We eat the eggs from my friends chickens and organic yogurt and meat (also from my friends) twice a week.

I was thinking I could eat the eggs from my friends chickens as they have free run over their farm during the day and get to forage their own food. I've replaced cow milk with rice milk (bonus is daughter drinks it, she never liked cow milk). Could I use rice milk to replace cow milk in various reci...

What are your favorite vegetarian/vegan recipes?

I'm phasing meat, poultry and dairy products out of my daughter and I's diet because of health, money and ethic issues. So I'm keen to see what your favorites recipes are.

Haha Hyacinth Bucket! I love it  I love the seeming innocence of children and how it allows them to do and say things like the girl net door to you Fee. While I was away the landlord sprayed the blackberry plant to shut the neighbour up apparently and have offered me a thornless blackberry plan...
