I have one of those in the car as its a handy implement for looking into the engine on a dark night or to hit someone over the head if they try and car jack you

I got accosted by two plum trees at Homebase on Sunday ; a Victoria plum and an Imperial Gage tenner each

So I went and popped them in the ground at the allotment... I shall post pics when I remember to take a camera along to the plot

You might aswell plant your Jerusalem artichokes now

they take about 12 months to come to cropping anyway

So if youve got spare plant them

planted raspberry canes and gooseberry bush and redcurrant cane on Saturday along with garlic cloves that were sprouting.

yep I dug beds for the courgettes, sweetcorn and now the lettuces Will take a pic when I go today and post it up.

Bind weed has become a problem though ( aaarrgghhh)

it did Less than an hour from picking to eating...Yum

got my first mangetout last night So good to actually have grown something and reaped it so quickly

Thanks its good to know Im not falling behind with it

thats the flimsy greenhouse thing theres no roof in it I still have to clear a bit of that and remove it
