One plant was dug to determine growth and to ascertain moisture level. This is about 90 days growth, planted on 14 April 2012.The Alaska potato has a red tinged flesh, which is retained after cooking, and is medium size at maturity. The moisture level is ideal, since I marked each seed potato at planting with a foot long stake, and watered about four days ago with the Magic Watering Wand. I simply insert the wand alongside the stake and flood the root area. There are about 70 plants in the patch so the time expended is minimal.
