I hadn't the foggiest until you posted that, Ina. Having looked it up, I'm going for avocado too.

Don't they normally come in pairs?

Not the ones I used to have! Haven't managed to grow any here in Scotland, in the ever-lasting winter climate in my house... (I've already got the long johns out again!) Although I did once have an avocado stone germinate on the compost heap.
