Picked the first ripe tomatoes this afternoon.
I could have picked some a lot earlier, but didn't have a need and so they kept getting left. Today two of them were dead ripe and if left any longer would have started to go wrinkly.
I would almost guarantee that we were the only people in the British Isles to have cheese sarnies and sun warmed freshly picked tomatoes for lunch today.

Amazing. My indoor tomato thing is not going too well, the plants have flowers, but that is a far as it is going, I have pinched out the tops of some, I seem to have one bush and the rest I think are broad ripple yellow currant, which is huge and rambling. I will keep at it, whatever happens, I will have some quite good sized plants which even if I harvest side shoots to make more plants will be worth having

I am not even going to bother posting a picture of my 10ft tall straggly looking sick specimens. You are the king Odsox and I am not worthy
