They are the best structure for standing up to strong winds.

Do you know how much it cost you in the end? The Wizard is now considering a dome and wants us to buy the plans for one

That's precisely why we decided to build one.

I am surprised at just how stiff the whole structure actually is. You could easily walk on it. I was leaning a ladder against it yesterday to tape up all the seams to make it water tight and it did not move a millimetre.

So my proposed move to the tropic of Cork should be postponed. We had the heating on three times in the last week to take the chill off the place. Perhaps we should be looking at just covering the place in domes, we could dry the washing in one as well

Thinking of buying these plans, did you print them off and what size were the pages, I can't find anything on his website that says much about the actual printing of them, cheers

He sends them as a .pdf. We haven't printed them, but they look like A4.

oh, that's ok then, wasn't sure if they were large plans and you would have to stick it together.

Yes I printed them off on A4 so I could make notes and sketches etc.

I think it ended up costing about £400 in the end but I do have a lot of the plastic left over as I ordered more than I needed.

The plans are not a how to on building the dome so you have to do a lot of thinking and beard rubbing but all the info is there.

I would do it a little different on the next one and if you do decide to actually build one I will PM you my phone number as you will have lots of questions.

I really need to do my step by step write up on my blog don't I
