Just to finish this thread, here are photos of the other misnamed plants.
I did think of taking a photo of my scentless scented cyclamen, but that would have been rather pointless.

The seed packet said the squash were Georgian Candy Roaster and the fruit on 2 vines I'm growing looks like this ..

This is the 3rd plant that looks remarkably like a Potimarron/ Uchiki Kuri ..

I wonder what next year's fruit and veg plants will turn out like

It keeps life interesting. Those Candy Roasters are ugly things - I hope they taste better than they look.

Not really Maggie, they are OK but that's about all I can say. They are pretty much like butternut but without the sweetness.
I won't grow them again, they are brutes that want to take over the world, although 2 of them have produced 10 squashes weighing about 4 kilos each, so at least we won't starve.
I prefer Potimarrons but for some reason they failed last year and the candy roasters thrived.
I'll get some fresh seed this winter and try Potimarrons again.

What is the world coming to, who can you now trust?
I know I'm a professional pedant but .....

I sowed my Aquadulce Claudia broad beans this afternoon and it wasn't until I was writing up my garden diary that I spotted it

It all falls into place now, I mean to say, if they can't get the seed packet right then how can you trust what's inside the packet.

Maybe they're Spanish.

Then it would be Senor Fothergill

I assume they are the same as Aquadulce Claudia but the name, from some suppliers is Aquadulce - not just Fothergill. I can't think why though.

Well yes, I wasn't bothered by the absence of Claudia, it was spelling Aquadulce with a "G".

Last year I bought some seed from a new company and they sent me a free packet of melon seed. I think they gave everyone a packet as the name was "Eldoraro" which I assume is the same as the "Eldorado" melon that everyone else sells.
Probably seed packets are now printed in China.

Probably used the same spell check thing in China as was used on some battery instruction we got which advised if the acid was ingested to take some clear cool water of cattle breast.
