I spent a busy morning getting the lean too and the greenhouse ready for the winter period, all my winter shoots are coming on well and the peppers are ripening , all the tomatoes are left on the vine to ripen it was'nt a really good season for our toms

It's housekeeping time for gardens, sheds, greenhouses, allotments innit?

It is i was really tired i needed a coffee with a very large whisky in it

I'm due a knee operation and have two plots to organise for the winter. Be done after Christmas methinks.

Looks like a job well done, Russ. I've got lots of coffee and whisky here, if you're at a loss for something to do (maybe stop off at Flo's to give her a hand on the way, eh?).

Oh, I'm on the way up north, too, if you are looking for somewhere to stop and tidy a garden... Am in bed with the flu at the moment, though. And I've no whisky in the house - argh!

I make that with rum. And I do have that in the house... A drop of rum in your tea is always nice in the cold half of the year.

I'm having a couple of days off now Jane and I are visiting my sister in Hereford, while we're here we have tickets for the Malvern autumn show, were going to treat ourselves to some new bulbs for the spring and eat lots of naughty food and wine
