Now there is Permaculture in action, the problem is the solution - use the stuff to trap slugs away from your plants. They'll even eat some of it, hopefully leaving your veg alone. Even if some critter then eats the slug, the poison will have diluted down, and its likely to be a one-off, whereas if you put it on your garden, you will be eating it regularly (recycled through the plants) and it can accumulat in your system.

Hi Judy.
I invented a sort of plastic strip that bends back and down at the top and the outside of which is covered in teflon.
When a slug or snail climbs up to try to get into the veggie/flower bed it ends up climbing upside down and then falling back to the ground again!
It would be made in long slips and just inserted six or seven inches deep into the soil around the bed.
I think it would be a peaceful way to deal with sluggies.
