what are your top five films?
what are your top five films?
My current top five are
1. Amelie
2. Harvey
3. Lord of the Rings trilogy
4. North By North West
5. Back To the Future Trilogy
But these will all change by tomorrow
what are your favourites?
The reason I am asking is I have hit a slight problemo with my film watching.
I can no longer watch anything 'scary' as it gives me the creeps to much we watched 'The Last King of Scotland' last night and I have been having flashbacks all day It is the image of his wife in the hospital, for those who have seen it... I couldn't watch the end 'cause I felt very ill.
Anyway we both love films and I am really ruining JohnM's ability to watch stuff 'cause I am too squeamish

Another Back to the Future Fan. Nice one.
There was a time that I would always have Star wars triolgy in my top ten, the new flims have sullied that.
Er what else...
Repo Man is up there as is Withnail and I. I know Highlander off by heart and lastly a film that I was in that has been in production for 9 years. It is by Luther Jones, filmed in Nottingham and it is called getting some. Nope it is not a blue movie it is about a group of people trying to meet other people. I play a geek, a new labour geek,

bet I've got you beaten on fewest cinema visits over the last 30 years - I've been twice!
Have never understood the attraction of cinemas - to pay large sums of money to sit on an uncomfortable seat, to have to peer through people's hats/hairstyles at the screen, and put up with squawking kids, cellophane wrappings, the stench of synthetic pheromones and chewing gum, all to watch some blessed film that if it's any good will be on the haunted goldfish bowl in a year or three's time.............

Yes, I admit it - you are right there. I've been twice in the last ten years (here in Scotland); my friend dragged me along to one Lord of the Rings, and one Harry Potter film! Still prefer the books.Martin wrote:bet I've got you beaten on fewest cinema visits over the last 30 years - I've been twice!
