Poorly chicken, please help

Hi
One of my exbattery chooks is unwell.
Noticed it this morning. Shes not her usual spritely self. Tail varies from up and down, shes not scratching about and is quite slow and lethargic when shes walking around, her neck is tucked in. Ive noticed shes drinking an awful lot, but havent seen her eat all day. Her poo is really watery too and clear in colour.
Weve had then since July last year.

Can anyone give me any help and advice as to what could be the matter and if there is anything I can do. Its a bit of a needle in a haystack from looking on the internet.

They can go like that then get better. I really thought that Ginger was about to die last week as she'd been like that for several days, but just snapped out of it and is back to her normal self again now.

What color is her comb ? nice and red ? very pale ? or some sort of purple ?

If she drinking well I would make a brew of garlic, sage and honey for her ..

The garlic will worm her nicely without stressing her more, the sage will put life back into her, and the honey will be a good boost too ..

Her comb is nice and red not pale or purple.

My other half crushed up some peanuts and museli this morning and shes eaten most of the museli.

I will have a go with the garlic sage and honey tonight when I get home.

How much of each do I need to use and should I but it in warm water to infuse and then strain to leave a clear tea?

I would put a clove of garlic, 6/8 roughly chopped bruised sage leaves, and a teaspoon of honey ..

This with just about a pint of very hot water, and leave that as her only drink for a day or two ..

I leave the bits in there as she might be tempted to eat them and won't do no harm at all.

it will infuse nicely and surely, and won't touch it much until it cools down to bearable temperature.

And most book recommend a fast for 24hr or so .. so you could leave her without food for a few hours ..

Well theyve all been treated to the garlic sage and honey brew.

She seems brighter moving and eating now but shes still not her usual self, her head being still tucked in.

Could it be part of the moulting process that she feels a little under the weather?
