She's been a bit 'off' for a couple of days, now this morning her comb is a bit floppy with dark patches on it. I had a quick look at her and the only thing I can see is that she has some grey balls clumped together at the base of the feathers (six ish) near the vent.
I've googled and TBH am just more confused.
Anyone had anything similar, got any advice?

After hours of googling and probably searching for the wrong thing it looks like chicken lice
I've never had chickens with lice before, not sure if she'll make it through the night she's looking very poorly.

Just wondering whether the grey balls clumped near the vent is just poo? I've had to wash some of my hens' bums to get rid of the clags though it doesn't explain why she is sickly - though they don't get mucky bums usually unless they're doing runny poos. Also how old is she?
