the wild boar around here, can be vicious......... they have been known to charge at cars, causing them considerable damage, and could easily kill a person, with their tusks, and they will attack at the slightest provocation, or even for no reason, but they are nocturnal, so daytime is safe to wander the countryside.
A neighbour, reared one at home as a "pet", and while quite domesticated, ( and de-tusked) it could easily knock you over in its "friendliness", and was still quite small. but as MKg said, the taste would probably have been quite different as no longer wild.
