Hello from East London
Hello everyone,
I am nowhere near self-sufficient (not even ish) at the moment but my partner and I are seriously considering changes to our lifestyle and are researching possibilities and information at the moment. The idea would be that he would carry on working while i take on the management of the house and (small) garden as my job. We live in East London.
I love this site for its humour and generous sharing of ideas, tips and experience - I know I will be visiting often! I have such a lot to learn....!

Welcome to ISH
You'll be surprized how quickly you'll become ISH, you have a garden, that's more than most of us started with!

Hello and welcome!
I used to live in East London but I escaped ;) Never did really get round to the garden while we were there because we were always so busy. We just seem to have so much time for everything now we're not commuting. Hopefully that will be the same for you as you take on the house and garden. And you've certainly come to the right place.
Enjoy!

hi,used to live on the isle of dogs once many moons ago, before it got trendy, and worked in bethnal green road, not alot of green around then, but my produce seems to grow best in my house!my window sills,a little greenroom built off the back door, the stuff outside just gets washed away,so you have a good chance of doing alot better than me have to admit i`ve planted fruit bushes and tree`s but their yet to produce,
