Hi Bryan, and welcome to Ish. You might find it a bit better (more people will see you) if you put your introduction in the Welcome New People Say Hello section itself rather than this sub-section. Alternatively, you can just dive in to the entire forum head first  .

Have a good time.

Old school farming upbringing in North Canterbury NZ. south island... Just wanted to say hello, I have followed this site for a while now and finally signed up. The Nick Name should say it all. London city and guilds distinguished graduate years ago haha :) Cooking on Aga's/Rayburn is a past time.

Hi Philip, nice to 'meet' you!

Don't think NZ has that different a climate than the UK?

Hi All,

My name is Stewart, I moved to Brittany with my wife and two girls 5 years ago. We have been busy renovating buildings for holiday rentals. Which has been a steep learning curve considering by deeply impractical background working in an office staring at a computer screen for 8 hours a day :-). I found this site whilst looking for answers to a plumbing/heating problem (I always seem to have plumbing problems.....) . I guess I should now search for the right thread and post my question.....
