Hello from a British ex-pat in Bulgaria

Post: # 178814Post SuzyJ »

Just a short message to introduce myself, I'm Suzy a 30something British ex-pat who sold up, shipped out and moved to Bulgaria to try being more self sufficient. Basically we couldn't afford a house with land in the UK and needed a new challenge and direction.

Been here a couple of years now and love the total change of lifestyle, it's not always been easy but we're getting there and the also teaching our kids about growing their own and raising livestock.

Greetings Suzyj welcome to Ish :hugish:

What's it like in Bulgaria, I know little about the climate or land there?
Is the soil good for growing where you are

Homegrown
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

Hi there and welcome!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
