it's Sue here, irritatingly enthusiastic about making our own anything which we then have to use...toothpaste, washing up liquid, Shampoo...love grow your own, hate chemicals, forever reading labels and putting goods back on shelf with disgusted face, have sheep, goats, hens, Alpacas that noone wanted, babysitting two dexter cows, spinning wheel that we have no idea how to use...yet...a cat and 14 acres of land some of it wood. Hubby is as irritating as me but with different things so ...quite well matched really!

we have sheep , pigs (now in freezer) and a heap of hens.

spinning wheel.. no one told himself it was difficult, so he looked at one online tutorial and started spinning! - so.. just have a go :)

Thanks for the welcome....toothpaste recipe goes like this:
1 oz green clay
4 teaspoons sea salt
2 tablespoons glycerine
20 drops peppermint oil
5 drops myrrh

mix everything together and put in a small pot. This is not my recipe but one from "the Holistic Beauty book by Star Khechara. I admit that hubby was happy with it but I wasn't and in the end I gave up and now use bicarb., which seems to make teeth squeaky clean.
