hi all
finally got around to registering after lurking for about a year. (tempted by photo comp!)
i've learned a lot from this forum - its a fantastic resource - and look forward to getting to know you all.
i'm in north london, where i've had an allotment for several years. anyone round this way?

Hello!!!

Whereabouts in North London are you? I have (almost) fond memories of Bounds Green/Wood Green/Turnpike Lane/Green Lanes / Tottenham where I spent several years moving rented accomodation every three months or so!
I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.

twiglet, i'm in crouch end. but i used to live on the harringay ladder which i'm sure you know. living near green lanes is very handy if you need an aubergine at 4 am!

Two hours away from London but was over in Caterham at the weekend checking out a friends allotment, it never ceases to amaze me how productive one allotment patch can be. Must be great to have the comeraderie with your fellow allotmenteers too.

Oh yes, the ladder.....I once lived on Pemberton Road, just past that enormous Turkish bakery (the one that caused my waistband to increase dramatically while I lived there.... :mrgreen: ).

:shock: flippin eck, its small world.... i lived on pemberton road too!! right by the canal - we had a pair of swans for neighbours. The landlord was a total ...ahem (not sure about swearing rules on here!!)... not very nice, anyway. evicted me when i was pregnant because i complained he was letting himself into the flat uninvited. oh please, may i never have to rent from dodgy landlords ever again...
