Welcome Mithril, and your garden too. I too think I live on the south coast, though the sea is about 16 miles away. However, Somerset and Wessex feel very different: I expect that where you are, a garden is even more important.
We also grow only (more or less) edibles, but our garden does not look nearly as lovely as yours: I'm afraid we don't care much for looks, Mike even less than I. Still, people like it and right now it's full of marigolds which I use for the lutein in the petals. And asparagus green, still standing after the storm, and a small cloche, ditto.
